HHK partner Russ Herman, who serves as court-appointed liaison counsel in the Chinese Drywall Federal litigation MDL 2047, was recently interviewed by New Orleans’ WWL News about the new deadline for filing claims against the named defendants in the ongoing Chinese Drywall litigation.
July 8 is the new deadline by which individuals and businesses who are interested in participating in a Settlement must register their claim to be eligible to participate in the five (5) approved class action settlements with manufacturers, builders, suppliers and installers of Chinese drywall and their various insurers.
The court’s order certified five (5) Class Action Settlements with the following Defendants:
(1) In Ex – Interior Exterior Building Supply, LP and its insurers;
(2) Banner – the Banner entities and their insurers;
(3) L&W – the L&W Supply Corporation and USG Corporation;
(4) Knauf Defendants; and
(5) The Global Settlement – 700 additional Participating Builders, Suppliers, and Installers and their Participating Insurers.
