Russ and Family at JFAB Event (Judge Karen Herman, Steve Herman, Alexandra Herman)
On Friday, September 22, 2023, HHK Partner Russ Herman was designated Honorary Chair of The Pro Bono Project’s 35th Annual Justice For All Ball. The event was held at the historic Orpheum Theater and welcomed lawyers and judges throughout our community.
Herman, Herman & Katz has also been designated The Pro Bono Project’s 2023 Distinguished Donor. Mr. Herman and Herman, Herman & Katz have been outstanding and consistent supporters of The Pro Bono Project and take great pride in giving back to the community. According to Mr. Herman, “philanthropy is basically a love of city and culture. It is a selfish act because it brings the giver great joy.”
The Justice For All Ball is the premier social event in the legal community, drawing hundreds of lawyers, judges, and private citizens together for an evening of fine food, spirits, and live music. The ball is The Pro Bono Project’s major fundraiser and provides the much needed funds to allow The Pro Bono Project to fulfill its mission to provide free civil legal aid to under-served families, seniors, and children in need.
Founded in 1986, The Pro Bono Project engages volunteer lawyers to render quality civil legal services to the underserved. The organization serves Orleans, Jefferson, placements, Saint Bernard, St. Tammany and Washington parishes. The project works in collaboration with other social service providers to improve the quality of life of their clients and the community.
