HHK Attorney Charles King was selected for the Louisiana Appleseed “Good Apple” Award as a result of his outstanding work for the Appleseed Pro Bono Network.
On Thursday, January 20, 2021, Mr. King was presented with the Good Apple Award at the 13th Annual Good Apple Gala hosted by Louisiana Appleseed to celebrate the previous year’s work performed. The Gala acknowledges select volunteers who have risen above the typical pro bono commitment. The Gala also celebrates pillars within our communities whose daily lives align with Louisiana Appleseed’s mission to increase access to justice, opportunity, and education, with the Social Justice Good Apple Award.
Louisiana Appleseed is non-profit organization and part of a national network of 17 public interest law centers across North America. The organization promotes systemic change that assists vulnerable populations. Its volunteers use their unique skill sets to work closely with direct legal services, government agencies, and other nonprofits to identify and solve our state’s most challenging issues.
