HKGC Staff giving holiday donation to GNOF

HKGC Staff and Eric Seling, GNOF CFO

For the past few years, the staff and attorneys at HKGC have decided to give donations to one of the many worthy local charities rather than exchange gifts.  This year, we find the need of the community more critical than ever.  Having worked with many in the service and hospitality industry in the past, we selected The Greater New Orleans Foundation Service and Hospitality Family Assistance Program.

This program supports low income employees of restaurants, hotels, bars, catering and event-staffing companies who have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and who are working hard to support their dependent children and/or elderly parents.  It provides grants of up to $1,000 for qualified service and hospitality workers in the Greater New Orleans region.  The holidays are the hardest time for this industry.  It’s a time when these workers would normally be thriving.  This Program has been making rounds of distributions to get money directly into the hands of these vulnerable workers whose families who have been so affected by this pandemic crisis.

We want to thank Jamie Agnew and Eric Seling (CFO) at the Greater New Orleans Foundation for working with us to coordinate this effort. Our family at HKGC appreciate the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives during these difficult times and spreading the true meaning of the holiday spirit.
